WLAD WINS THE ASCAP MORTON GOULD AWARD 2010
Wlad Marhulets wins the ASCAP Morton Gould Award 2010. Morton Gould was President of ASCAP and The ASCAP
Foundation from 1986-1994. He was a distinguished and
versatile composer, and the recipient of the Pulitzer Prize.
ASCAP honors Morton Gould's lifelong commitment to
nurturing young creators by naming the annual Young
Composer Awards in his memory.

CLARINET KLEZMER CONCERTO | PREMIERE
The Detroit Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Andrew Litton will give the premiere performance of the Clarinet Klezmer Concerto, by Wlad Marhulets. The featured clarinet soloist is David Krakauer, one of the foremost musicians of the vital new wave of klezmer. The concerts will take place at the Orchestra Hall in Detroit on December 10th - 13th, 2009.
